confused about gondor help!!!
I am confused in th difference between gondor and ministirith. Are they the same thing or two seperate things. Osgillith is a city out side of gondor correct.
Agreeing with Steve, Minas Tirith is the capital of Gondor which use to be Osgiliath. This information can be found on Tolkien Gateway (website). If that helps.

I'm a little confused too, but I'm pretty sure they are both Gandalf.
Minas Tirith is the chief city of Gondor. Osgiliath used to be the chief city before its destruction, now it is in ruins.
Another way of looking at it is that Gondor is the country/nation, and Minas Tirith is the capital city.

totally read that wrong so my comment is irrelevant
I was confused at first too, but what Jamie said makes sense...I'm glad that question was asked; that makes it easier to understand it all.
