It makes me want to shout to know that after all this time of being outcasted that we get to actually SHINE! She dresses up as a boy in armor and joins the ranks of the fighters in ROTK. This shows so much determination it heals the fact that "women" were not a part of the LOTR for so long.
Yes, it was nice to see a women involoved in a pivtol scence in the book, she was right along side Theoden in battle fighting with the best and able to hold her own which is awsome.
The only bad thing about it is that she had to dress up as a guy in order to be courageous and looked upon with honor. Although I love what she did, I wish she would have done it as a woman.
For sure! That girl is one of my heroes. I love her little manly scene. Then, of course, she has to ruin it and go into her little depression again. I just wish she could be happy. Thank god for Faramir!
I actually had no idea who it really was. When she revealed herself, I was totally surprised but very excited to see a woman doing something other than taking care of people and that stuff. She is very brave & I'm glad she did what she did!

Yes! It's great to have a terrific female character kick butt amongst all those men!

Yes! It's about time that a women can be looked as dominant over the men. Unfortunately, just for a short time.

I really think the movie does an excellent job of portraying this. Not to sound corny, but I got goosebumps during that part of the movie.
