Courage - Blawk Hawk Down

I know it's a little late to be talking about courage again but I remembered a situation where I think courage can be shown. In the film Black Hawk Down, towards the end one of the soldiers decides to go back into the city and he explains to another soldier why he does it. I think that part shows why soldiers do things that people think are crazy, it's because of the guy next to you and not anything else. When stuff goes down you'll do anthing for your best bud.

'People ask me: hey Hoot, why you do it, man, you some kind of war junkie? I won't say a goddamn word. Why? They won't understand why we do it. They won't understand that it's about the men next to you, and that's it. That's all it is.'
Great lines from a great movie, I play them on loop in my head every monday.

That is a movie I have not seen but will watch over spring break now. There is also a tv show that use to be on called space above and beyond and it is about a marine squadron who is after an enemy called the chigs who destroy part of earth. One episode is called sugar dirt and the fight that the squadron called the 58th and many others drop on to this planet to fight ends up being an ambush and the 58th gets left behind on the planet for about a month. the capt. has them check in every day at 7pm well the radio dies and she does not tell her group because it was the only thing keeping them from going crazy and dividing. I thougt that was couragous because she did no there was a possilbilty that they would not be rescued wich I am sure was a heavy burden to bear and very lonely. In the end that is what kept her people alive along with then taking the responsibility to go around and buriy all the other dead marines.
